Coreid Bug nymph (Pachylis argentinus) molting, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Tuesday afternoon in La Plata, and almost spring. As platenses go about their daily routines in the city, a Coreid bug molts from a dullish grey suit to a bright green one. The acacia trees where this guy and its zillion brothers and cousins live are still leafless, but the bugs seem to know that it won’t be for long!
